PROJECT 1
Grade II listed house - Eynsham
This Grade II listed cotswold stone house had not been updated since the 1960s and part of the ground floor was a disused shop. The project involved instructing an architect, obtaining listed planning consent, re-incorporating the shop back into the house and removal of the shop front, building a new frontage to match a photo of the house from 1906, extending into the kitchen roof space to add a new master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, installing a new staircase to the top floor, new roof, total electrical re-wire, and re-plumb. Extensive landscaping work was done to the overgrown garden and electric wooden gates were installed.
The end result was a bright family home suited to the needs of modern life whilst retaining the character of the listed building.
